Only Mostly Dead

For the past several months, no progress at all has been made on the VN. I just got back to coding it, and I'm only doing a little bit at a time. The next update might take awhile, as we need a few sprites to be made before we can make Volume II, specifically the Yakuza, Dr.Sakura, the Student Council president, and others.

Good news though, the download links to the first volume have been fixed, although I do not know how long they will last. See the Volume I post for MD5 sums.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Mediafire links have stopped working (again), I will work on fixing them eventually.

The 4shared mirror links however, still function:

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

And if those fail as well, there's a link to a torrent. Click the following to open in your torrent client: magnet link

The torrent is of uncertain reliability, but will probably work faster than the hosted downloads.

  1. Hmm, I saw the Git repository fall silent, and that was kinda sad. Glad this is still going on. Apart from with spriting/music, I can probably lend a hand with something, as I have quite a lot of spare time over the next few months.

    1. We could certainly use some help with the script, Ren'py is pretty easy to use, and the most complicated thing you'll need will be "show Kyon at right with dissolve". Just head into our IRC, #bdh-vn channel at irc.lunarnet.org to get started.

  2. Any plans to compile the novel for Android? I've tried myself, but it never seems to work for me. Good to see that the novel is still in the works.

  3. Since I'm the de facto tech lead, and I don't have any Android device nor immediate plans to acquire one, I'd have to say no. If anyone does get it working, though, we'll post a pointer to it here if you want.

  4. I have to say, those sound effects are hilariously familiar-sounding. :P
